Days 1-2: Arrival & Scenic Flight to Skardu
Begin your journey in Islamabad before taking a breathtaking morning flight to Skardu (weather permitting). The aerial views of the Himalayas alone are worth the trip. Upon arrival, settle into your comfortable accommodation and capture your first sunset blossom shots in Skardu’s surrounding villages.
Days 3-5: Exploring Skardu, Shigar & Khaplu Valleys
Day 3 takes you to the enchanting Shigar Valley, where 17th-century Shigar Fort provides a dramatic backdrop for your apricot blossom photography. The Sarfaranga Cold Desert offers surreal landscape opportunities.

7) 7-Days “Two Valleys” Blossom Expedition (2026)
Day 1: The Mountain Flight to Skardu
Morning: Fly from Islamabad to Skardu (Sit on the right side for views of Nanga Parbat and K2).
Afternoon: Visit Upper Kachura Lake. The contrast of the turquoise water against the blossoming apricot trees on the shore is spectacular.
Overnight: Skardu.
Day 2: Shigar Valley & The Cold Desert
Morning: Drive to Shigar Valley. This area is famous for its “Royal Orchards.” Spend time photographing blossoms around the 400-year-old Shigar Fort.
Sunset: Visit the Sarfaranga Cold Desert. Capture the rare sight of white sand dunes, blossoming trees, and snow-capped peaks in one frame.
Overnight: Skardu.
Day 3: Khaplu – The “Palace in the Petals”
Full Day: Drive to Khaplu Valley (3 hours). Khaplu has a “softer” beauty than Skardu, with dense apricot orchards lining the Shyok River.
Focus: The wooden architecture of Chaqchan Mosque and the gardens of Khaplu Palace.
Overnight: Khaplu or Skardu.
Day 4: The Great Traverse: Skardu → Hunza
The Drive: A 5–6 hour scenic journey along the Indus River via the Jaglot-Skardu Road.
Golden Hour: Arrive in Karimabad, Hunza. Head straight to Eagle’s Nest (Duikar) for a sunset view of the entire valley floor covered in pink and white blooms.
Overnight: Karimabad.
Day 5: Central Hunza & Altit Fort
Morning: Explore the 1,100-year-old Altit Village. The Altit Royal Garden is arguably the best spot in all of Pakistan for blossom photography.

Overnight: Passu or Gulmit.
Day 7: The Return Flight
Morning: Drive 2 hours to Gilgit Airport.
Late Morning: Fly Gilgit to Islamabad.
